Because it's now finally summertime, I'm heavily considering coming back to blog regularly again. Just to give a quick update: I've graduated from high school - my "big present" was a Macbook; I'm completely in love with, especially PHOTOBOOTH, I'm forsure going to Emory University in the fall, I start working at camp next Monday, and today I did a group interview for Urban Outfitters - I think it went really well!

Anyway, here's one outfit to keep y'all enticed...

Today (well, yesterday now) was probably the best out of my whole week. First of all, it was a dress down day; I hate the dress code so it was a nice break. It was held in honor to 1. get more tissues because apparently the school is running out & 2. to rile everyone up for the inter-grade basketball competition...yes, instead of pep rallies, we have dress down days.

Anyway, the "Spring Ballin" competition was supposed to be seniors + sophomores vs. juniors + freshman, but because only a few juniors showed up it ended up being the seniors vs. everyone else. We had a 20+ point lead against the underclassmen, which was great but we got rocked by the faculty. It was pretty embarrassing but a ton of fun. It was just really nice to see how well the seniors could get along.

Sorry the pictures aren't too fantabulous, my brother & photographer, Nigel is sick...I didn't want to have to bother him unless it was absolutely necessary.

Also, a quick college update: I've been accepted to University of Pittsburgh, Drew University, UMass Amherst, Emory University, and Fordham University. As of right now, I'm 5 for 5 and waiting to hear back from Columbia, UPenn, and Harvard. Ugh, it's so nice to know that this long, pain-staking college journey is almost at it's end and that I have plenty of options.

Yes, yes, I know. I'm lame and I haven't posted in a million years. In my defense, second semester senior-dom isn't as worry-free as I first presumed it would be. Yes, homework has died down quite a bit but I've had a plethora of extracurriculars to handle. Now that I'm done with most of my major activities and about to head back to school after a wonderful two weeks of spring break, expect more posts. I promise, promise, promise that I'll do my best to post regularly; let's try for 3 times a week. Sound fair?

Anyway, thought you readers would like to see some of my Spring Break finds:

I've already started wearing the jewelry/belt and using the wallet but saving the dress for one of the end of the many end of the year ceremonies. It looks surprisingly spectacular with a pair of platform pumps...trust me, I tried it out.

I bought another dress & a shirt as well...I don't have any decent pictures of them at the moment, but I'm likely to wear them this week so you'll all see soon.

These babies are the shoes I plan to wear for Prom this year. I bought them for such an amazing deal, only $29! I've never built an outfit around shoes before but as soon as I saw them I felt it was necessary. I've already bought my dress, but I'm waiting for another to come back; the one I originally ordered was too big.

Today was the last day of the first semester! Basically, classes were spent going over exams...well, not for me; I ended up only getting my AP Lit exam back. Some of my teachers haven't finished grading & others have to wait on people doing make up exams. No worries though, I'm sure I did fine. After school I got Starbucks & pizza with the other basketball managers before a game with one of our really big rivals. Thankfully, we won so we beat them TWICE this season. So epic.

Anyway, beginning tomorrow I'll be a worry-free second semester senior. This will be the first time in my life that I will have the chance to learn for the sake of it. No pressure about advancing to the next class or worrying about what college will choose me...they'll make their decisions based upon my first semester. Essentially, I'll be living the good life. Ugh, cannot wait for this.

Wore this the first day back at school after an amazing 2+ week break, filled with basketball games, relaxing, finishing college applications, and a very interesting New Year's Party. I got a demerit for my skirt & I must say, it was totally deserved and totally worth it. Everyone thought I had cut my hair, but no. It's in a side braid & hidden all up in the scarf. The day itself wasn't too bad; even though I miss being on break terribly, I don't completely hate being back at school.

P.S. It's absolutely obvious that I have an obsession with making kissy faces.

So in love with my Doc Martens; I bought them a year ago but just started wearing them these past few weeks. I've been wearing the H&M scarf almost every day. It's the perfect thing to keep my neck warm and safe for swimming.

In other news, I was deferred to regular decision for Columbia. I'm not upset though, I'm happy I wasn't flat out rejected. That'd be terrible. I've since sent in my applications to Fordham at Lincoln Center, Drew, UMass - Amherst, and University of Pittsburgh. I'm still working on Emory, UPenn, and Harvard...yes, Harvard. It's not by choice but whatever. Maybe I'll get in? Also, I'm on winter break! So excited for the next 2+ weeks of relaxing and attending the boys basketball games - I'm the head manager.

Picture this: You're hell-bent on being Nicki Minaj for Halloween but the wig you bought is just NOT working. What are you going to do? Well, you could just opt for black hair and cut your bangs on a whim...the consequences can wait. If you're me, that's precisely what you would do. At first, I was really NOT a fan, but these bangs seem to be grown on me - haha, bad hair pun, couldn't help myself :)

So, this is the new hair. Longer than before because well, hair grows but the bangs are a new addition and are here to stay...at least for a while. As of now, I'm no longer known as "Sam or Sammie" my friends, classmates, and even my mom have begun referring to me as Nicki Minaj. It's not so bad though, she's a great rapper with a sick and sexy sense of style.

Two outfits from this past week. With the chilly weather lately, blazers, leggings, and close-toed shoes seem to be the way to go. I bought the black wedges this past weekend and I am SO in love with. They're deceptively easy to walk in, especially because they have no platform and are about four inches high.

Meh, also it's Hell Week for the fall drama production! We're performing Mary Zimmerman's Arabian Nights. I'm beyond excited because it's the first show that I'm acting in. Historically, I've been the go-to girl for costume and makeup business...I still plan to do that, just while acting. Though this week will be beyond stressful, I'll try to update as much as possible. I don't want to leave you all hanging for another month. That would be lame and bad.

I spent last weekend in Manhattan and it was great as usual. On Friday, I went to Fashion's Night Out with one of my best shopping partners, my Grammie. The F21 in Times Sqaure was better than I could have ever imaged. The store consisted of four floors that offered all the branches found on the website - Forever 21, Love 21, Heritage 1981/Heritage 1981 Kids, Faith 21, F21 Twist, 21 Men...I think that's about it. I spent four hours shopping and bumping to the DJ; I received a free manicure and made an awesome DIY totebag. I window shopped at Macy's Herald Square (& was almost run over by a crowd trying to see Kimora Lee Simmons...really, of all people?!) and H&M before I spontaneously got sick and made my way back to my grandparents' apartment.

Saturday, I went to the MRC Open House at Columbia and fell in love with the school all over again. Between the arts program, beautiful campus, and wonderful people there, I know that it's definitely the right fit.

Tuesday was my very last first day of high school & it was surprisingly wonderful. I like my classes, I loved seeing all of my friends and the new kids aren't all that bad. As far as I can tell, senior year is going to be AMAZING. I'm excited. Sooo, I received the Urban Outfitters bag a few days ago and I was surprisingly disappointed. The bag was flimsy and didn't seem worth the money; I'm planning to return it to the store tomorrow :(

On a happier note, today while browsing Forever21, I came across this bag. It's much cheaper, is more my style, and will probably last longer than the UO bag. Hopefully it turns out better than the UO bag.

This weekend was the EPITOME of relaxing. I spent Friday night on/off napping and texting friends. On Saturday I ran errands with my mother and finally got my new glasses. Hello, hello, hello. I know I've been a terrible blogger lately but July & August have been super hectic. Between work, shopping, reading, and trying to make time with friends/family, updating hasn't been one of my top priorities! I'm back now though, and that's all that matters, emirite?

Although I've been gone, I have been keeping up with outfit pictures even though I generally haven't been wearing anything substantial - my work uniform consisted of my 'staff' tee shirt, shorts, sandals, and assorted accessories. For example, my outfit for the last day of work:

My favorite pieces being a printed strapless maxi dress that wasn't too long for me, and these draped pencil skirts. I ended up getting a pair of blue sandals for work though. They're hawt.

Afterwards, I spent about 2 hours in Barnes&Nobles trying to find my summer reading books, and just plain browsing. I ended up only getting Ordinary People by Judith Guest. I read it within 3 hours, beginning as soon as I got home and it was amazing; probably one of the best things I've read in a long time. So now I have 5 more books to read; 2 for apus & 3 for ap writing.

Oh yeah, I start work on Monday. I'm a camp counselor for the 2nd year in a row. It should be fun but mad tiring; I'll be working 9-6 for 5 days a week for the next 8 weeks. Excited? Mostly, I guess.

Summer '09 has officially begun, and it just so happens to be off to a great start with my being extra busy this past weekend.

Friday:

My brother's eighth grade graduation. The whole ceremony was surreal to me; it's hard to believe that my baby brother and all of his peers will be joining me in high school in the fall. Not only are they growing older, but I am too; I'll be graduating high school in just two short years, and then heading off to college. Wow.

Saturday:

No outfit picture, but my day was definitely interesting. My mother and I went along with my brother to a graduation party thrown by my bestie Emily's younger sister. It was a lot of fun, and the food her mother made was basically amazing. Oh, and I met John Corzine (the governor of my 'wonderful' state - NJ); it just so happens that Emily's father is an assemblyman for the state and friends with the governor as well. He was surprisingly nice, and very sincere, and as he was leaving kissed my mother on the face. Yeah, I know. When he was good and gone I LOL'd soo hard, I almost cried.

Sunday:

My uncle came up to NYC from Charlottesville to visit my grandparents for his birthday so my mother, my brother and I drove out there for a late lunch/early dinner. We originally planned to go to Hudson River Cafe, but the the kitchen was closed to begin their dinner preparations. Instead, we walked down the street to this Italian place called Cova, and I'm glad we did. The food was fantastic, and the people were nice. Well, besides a few prissy teenage hostesses, but hey what can you do.

Wow, it's been a while. I've been so caught up with schoolwork that I've barely any had time for anything else. As of now though, I'm finally finished; last thursday was my last day of classes and friday was honors convocation. On Friday I participated in the Day of Silence for the second time. Such a fantastic day, even though I was only silent through half of first period. There's always next year though.

Also, this was the day of my friend Jacque's Sweet Sixteen. I was part of her cotillion, we performed the Waltz and Cha-Cha. The party was amazing, I had a great time, and we all looked fantastic. The only downside was that a handful of kids showed up drunk, but they didn't really take much away from the party. I'll make sure I'll post some pictures soon.

I know, I know I haven't posted in a while, but I've been working hard these last two weeks in order to make my third quarter grades as bangin` as possible. Along with that I've been practicing to be in my friend Jacque's cotillion for her sweet sixteen AND practicing for the All State audition that I finally had today. Yet another fantastic spring day, well except for the AP Bio, Algebra II, and Euro tests I had. It started out cold-ish and a little windy but by the end of the day, it was amazing. I spent the afternoon outside with one of my best friends and actually started my homework before I got home, it was pretty epic.

Ohmygoodness that All State audition. Overall, it was good but I pretty much sucked on the tonal memory and my choral director was one of the judges! I did better than I did last year on everything else though so hopefully I get in again. Later on I went to a dress fitting for the cotillion; thankfully it was fast - I got out of there and fell asleep as soon as I got home.

Hopefully this coming week will be easier easier, but I have a strong feeling it won't be. I have lacrosse games to go to, I'm working at an open house for school, and I have all this other work to do. Wish me luck though? I'll certainly be needing it.

So apparently boyfriend jeans are supposed to be one of the many "big trends" this spring (although they've been popular for quite a while), and one that I will not be partaking in. On Wednesday while on vacation in Charlottesville, I was browsing in American Eagle and came across this pair:

As you can see they're pretty standard; plenty of rips & tears all around, loose throughout, and cuffed at the bottom. I loved how they looked on the rack, but on my body was a completely different story. Basically, I looked much shorter than I already am and a little bit butch even, thus leading me to stay far far away from this trend. So much for that one.

Wow, 2008 is now officially over and what a year it's been. This past year, I've changed so much in terms of both personality and personal style and the world changed as well. From the economic crisis to the first black president being elected so much has happened. I'm not sure what 2009 will bring, but I'm excited for it and hopefully this year will be a great one.

This year instead of hanging out with my mother and brother, this year I hung out with my two best friends. We watched The House Bunny, took tons of pictures on photobooth, and watched the ball drop. After that we stayed up talking until 4 am and then FINALLY fell asleep. It was a ton of fun.

- I prefer leggings to "real pants" a.k.a. dark blue/black skinny jeans.
- I've traded pulling back my grown out bangs with a headband to braiding instead.
- I need more boots!

Kanye West. He's both loved and hated, there's really not much inbetween. Super cocky, but I guess he deserves it with the amazing music he makes. Unlike many hip hop artists, his music (usually) has a message to go along with it.

His new album 808s & Heartbreak is much different from his first couple albums but still great nontheless. Some favorites include Love Lockdown, Heartless, and Coldest Winter.

Not only is he a great artist, but he has a great sense of style as well and as of now serves for a little bit of inspiration, for me at least. Bright colors, blazers, cool sneakers, scarves, sweaters, are some of his signatures. Then there are the shutter shades, but those just happen to be completely ridiculous. I admit it though, I did have a pair at one point; the most worthless $3 I've ever spent.

Lately I've been extraordinarily busy with school. After missing three days because of All State Chorus, I tried to start the new marking period with a bang. Grades for the first quarter came out on friday and thankfully I'm on Honor Roll! Hopefully I can keep my grades up this quarter.

Other than grades, the whole week was generally busy. Wednesday was Career Day and I met Nina Stotler! Even though I didn't get into a session with her, I went to talk to her after school. I asked about interships, networking, and tons of other stuff that I don't quite remember from being so shell shocked. Sadly, I didn't get a picture because I STILL don't have a new camera, but she did give me a card promoting her jewelry line.

Also, yesterday was the final performance for All State. It was really bittersweet, I'm happy to not have to wake up at 5:30 in the morning for 2 1/2 hour practices but I'll definitely miss all the friends I've made, the conductor, and singing the music. Everything was spectacular, the choir and orchestra together was almost unbelieveable. I'm superexcited to get my tee shirt and CD. I received this cute little pin as a first parting gift though; I love it.

So I've been tagged by Anna's Bizarre!

The rules are pretty simple. First list six quirks about yourself, then tag six others. Here it goes:

1. I just hit 4'11 this summer and I'm sixteen years old. This leads me to believe that I might still be growing, that's probably not true though.

2. I sing, and really well apparently? I've done two Eastern Regional Choirs and this past year I was finally eligible to do All State, that was AMAZING. I wanted to do nationals, but I didn't have time to try out sadly.

3. I'm a Halloween baby. Honestly, best birthday ever! I mean I get presents, free candy, cake, and unhealthy food in one large weekend extravaganza.

4. I have a ridiculous obsession with Chinese food, it's crazy. I could actually use some lo mein and dumplings right now.

5. I'm already picking prospective colleges and I'm a sophmore in high school. My number one school would be Columbia. I also like Princeton, Emory, and Cornell.

6. I'm ridiculously sarcastic; sometimes my best friends can't tell if I'm being serious. It's really, really fun though.

Birthday Money + 3 1/2 Days in The AC = New Clothes!

Sorry for the lack of updates, I've been superbusy. I spent three and a half days in The AC -- better known as Atlantic City, New Jersy. Considering I can't gamble or anything, most people would think it a little pointless to be there. Buttttt, I was there for the All State Mixed Chorus Concert. I basically sang my butt off a long with 300+ other sophmores - seniors. It was pretty amazing, and I met some pretty great people. The performance was Friday night, and it was SOSOSO good, and I'm doing it all over again next Sunday. Super excited for that.

Besides singing I went on the boardwalk, and spent the majority of my money on food. Especially at this great candy place called It's Sugar. I bought about 3/4 of a pound of gummy bears. They were so good - strawberry, blueberry, and pineapple. I did go shopping with my mother & brother on Saturday (today) though. I got lot of stuff, well not really. I bought a "fair amount" I guess you could say.

Oh and on a different much more serious and amazing note, BARACK OBAMA IS THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. I've been waiting to say this since about 2 years ago when he announced his running for office. As a young black person I now truly feel like I can do anything if I work hard for it. There's no more excuses now; the future leader of the country is black. The only more amazing thing would be a ticket with a female and a gay man, as said by my mother.Other than just being amazed I feel there is a revolution coming on. Change will come after these past eight years and I'm ready for it. The U.S. will hopefully regain its respect in the world. I'm extremely happy for this country to be made better in these next four years. I can't even explain my excitement for January 2009, it'll be amazing.

Guesswhatguesswhatguesswhat?! My birthday is in 10 days; I'll finally be 16. I'm superexcited for that. It'll be Halloween, I'll get new things, and I'll be sixteen! I'm not really expecting all that much just money, gift cards, and maybe some clothes? Ultimately I'd love to get a Nikon D60, but those dreams were already dashed. I have to buy one with my own money. Boo. Thank goodness I have a summer job though.

Even though Halloween falls on a Friday this year, I'm not going to have a party that day. I'll got trick or treating with my friends and to this Halloween dance at school. Hopefully that won't be lame. A lot of people don't want to go to the dance because it's right on Halloween. The day after though, I'll have honor choir reherasal and that night my party! Originally I wanted to go to Fright Night but eventually that got to be way to difficult. Instead I'm planning on going to Cheesecake Factory and a movie with ten of my friends. I have a feeling that'll turn out to be a lot of fun.

Lately I've kind of been in a rut lately as far as outifts and it sucks a little. With a mix between the cold, AP Bio studying, and other ridiculous amounts of homework I've had no inspiration. I've been basing everything around comfort and warmth. Basically that comes down to wearing v-necks, tee shirts, and scarves. Hopefully though, I'll get used to all those things and bring back some good outfits.

I had the day off for Yom Kippur! So I chilled at home and did homework. Then that night, I went to the mall with my mom to buy a couple things for the Sweet Sixteen I would be attending Saturday night. There's more about later though.

I had honor choir rehearsal 8:30 to 12 and like the first two times the music was absolutley beautiful. We were tested on even more music (gross), and then chose roomates for the All-State performance weekend. I'm rooming with a friend I did All Eastern Choir with, and two other girls from her school. I'm thinking that it'll be pretty fun even though I miss my really good friends' birthday party. Hmm, there's always next year though.

Saturday Part 2:

I was invited to a Come As You Aren't themed Sweet Sixteen. Basically you were supposed to stereotype yourself and dress as the opposite. It took me the longest time to think about an idea because I've never ever put myself into a stereotype, but two days before I finally thought of one. I figured that I'm pretty girl, so I chose to go as a skater/tomboy. I still kept to my oversized pearl and elephant necklace staples but added in some things that I'd never normally wear.

Needless to say, it was a ridiculous amount of fun. It was pretty small with only about 20 or 30 people, but I had a lot of fun. Some people came up with really good ideas, and others dressed pretty normally. The parents were probably the best though! They all had super-elaborate outfits.

Wake Me Up When September Ends.

With it being October 1st, September is officially over and what a month it was. Between starting school, studying like a fiend for AP Bio (and doing pretty decently, yeay!), and hanging out with friends I didn't have much time to update. I think now that one of the hardest parts of the year is over, I'm ready to start blogging more regularly again.

So some important things to think about:

1. The first half of the marking period is almost over!

2. No school yesterday or today -- Thank you Jewish holidays

3. 30 days until Halloween/My Birthday! -- Yeah, I'm a Halloween Baby.

The most important thing on that list would most likely be Halloween/My Birthday. I'm finally going to be 16! I plan to go trick-or-treating with my two best friends and then to the Haunted Hawkins dance thrown at my school. The day after, I plan to go to Fright Fest at Six Flags with some of my friends. And for the most important question, what am I gonna be for Halloween? Originally I planned to be a hipster/American Apparel addict so I'd have an excuse to buy a ridiculous amount of clothes from American Apparel. My other idea that I'll most likely go with is to be a cheetah. I have a lot of cheetah print clothes, and I've never been an animal for Halloween so I think it'll be fun.

So otherwise I'm excited because I'm on my first break of the school year! Because of Rosh Hoshashanna (spelling?) I didn't have school yesterday and I don't have school today either. Today I'm staying at home, relaxing, finishing up last minute homework, and studying for my Euro test on Friday. Yesterday was a lot of fun though. I hung out with my best friends Kim and Jasmin. Kim just got a MacBook because her computer completely busted out. Of course the first thing we did was hit up photobooth. As I've said before, I'm pretty much addicted, and unfortunately I don't have a laptop webcam of my own. Here's some pictures:

I have to say, this weekend has been pretty dayum fantastic. Friday I went to my bestfriend Kim's house and hung out and watched Talledega Nights, one of my favorite movies EVER. It's so ridiculous, and funny; it never gets old.

Saturday was the big day. I had to wake up super duper early, to get ready for rehearsals for All State Choir. I was there from 8:30 -12, and it was simply amazing. The songs are so beautiful, and so great for only being the second time we're all singing together. The only sucky thing was that we were tested on the music, which I didn't really go over much, but thankfully I did fine.

After reherasals, I chilled at home for a while until I went out to eat with my grandparents. They went to Italy for two weeks with their friends, and we had a LOT of catching up to do. It seemed like they had a ton of fun, and they brought stuff back for me! I'll put up pictures later I guess. THEN we all went to the mall, so I could get a new phone. I got a Blackberry Curve! It's so pretty and I love it. Right now, I have a black case for it, but I'm earnestly searching for a zebra print one. So overall, Saturday was pretty much amazing.

Oh my goodness, school has been pretty crazy so far. I mean we have classes from 8:30 to 3:05, but the days seem to last forever! Hmm, that's probably because we have so many breaks. We have 2 classes then a break for morning announcements/free time, two more classes then another break for about 25 minutes for lunch, then our last two classes and then we go home. It's pretty ridiculous, but overall school is good. I love seeing my friends EVERY day, not just when we're free. So here's a couple outfits from this week.

On Friday I received my class schedule for the 08-09 year! It's so exciting because it's now completely official, I am a SOPHMORE! The only bad thing is that I have no idea what my real class order is because class order changes every letter day and I don't have all of my classes every day.

This year I'll be taking:

AP Biology

Women's Vocal Chamber Ensemble

Modern European History

Algebra II

English II

I think the best thing about this year is that we finally got a new schedule because a lot of classes would run at the same time. Because the class times change daily now it makes class conflicts were much easier to absolve. At first I wanted to take History of American Science and Medicine, but because of my language course, I opted to take Modern European History and it wasn't much of a problem. Well, except for the fact that I don't really want to take the class but whatever gets me into AP US History, hahah.

The next best thing is that I have a study hall almost every other day! Last year I didn't have a study hall because I took an elective- Women's Vocal Chamber- and I also took Women's Choir. Classes begin on Monday, and I really think they're going to be great, my teachers are the bomb, and I have friends in all of my classes. So what classes are YOU taking this year?

First Day of School, First Day of School!

Today was my first official day of school and honestly, it couldn't have been better. I'm so happy to be a sophmore & to see everyone. Oh, and I LOVE pretty much all of our new kids.

Because the seniors and freshman left for their retreats yesterday, the rest of us didn't have regular classes. The sophmores (that's my grade), worked on different community service projects, and workshops and I believe the junior began planning Prom.

So, early in the morning, we broke into our homeroom groups, and got to work. In the morning, my group sorted and organized school supplies that would be put into backpacks for foster children. After we finished with that, we had a workshop with this guy from FCD (Freedom from Chemical Dependancy) and were lectured about drugs & alcohol from people. It was interesting because he actually did drugs and alcohol and had a serious addiction but it was such a long program. Then we had lunch, and did another workshop where we watched different videos about different things like greed, fairness, being polite, and discussed each video.

The day was great, but really tiring because we spent around two hours on each activity. Hopefully, tomorrow will go by a little faster though because my homeroom will be working outside laying down sod for the baseball field, and making the playground look all nice for the pre-schoolers, haha. I'm not really excited for that so much because it's going to be HOT, around 90 degrees and I don't do very well in heat.

Goodbye Sweet Summer.

Today is September 2nd, 2008 and it was my last official day of summer. Tomorrow I will be waking up at 5:30, arrive at school at 7:30 and give tours to new students. Now, seeing as today could be considered such an epic day, I thought well maybe I should find a party to go to or hang out with friends, but I opted not to. Instead I stayed home with my brother all day, and then went to the mall with both my mom and my brother in the evening.

Even though I'm sad that my summer is over, I'm happy to see people at school, and meet new people. Most of you probably don't understand my giddiness, but there are around 86 people in my whole grade so when there are new people, it's a pretty big deal.

Top Four Reasons My Summer was AMAZING:

1. Work! - Over the summer I worked as a camp counselor, and honestly it was the best eight weeks of my year so far. I made friends to last pretty much a lifetime, and I loved my kids to death; plus the fact I was finally able to make my own money.

2. Not having homework! <3

3. Actually getting along with my brother - Ever since I was little, my brother and I would rarely get along and we'd get into huge fights. More often than not, they involved throwing brushes, chairs, and cellular devices but we've toned it down a lot and had some pretty good times.

4. Seeing The Dark Knight - I'm usually not much of a movie-goer but I'm SO glad I saw this. Honestly, it was one of the best movies I've ever seen. Heath Ledger playing The Joker totally stole the show. It was amazing.

I know it's a pretty short list, but those four things honestly made my summer really spectactular and special. It was my best so far. In conclusion, so long sweet summer I'll miss you dearly but it's okay, school will be great! Especially since I'm no longer a freshman. Wish me luck ladies (and gentlemen?).

Hair Cut? Hairs Cut.

After thinking about it for a month and a half, I finally cut my hair! Originally I wanted about two or three inches cut off, but after my stylist called my mother the three of us decided that one inch would be the best. I mean it's shorter, but I can still put it up when I want or need to. Either way, I'm happy with the cut, and now I think I'm officially ready for the school year! It's funny though, most people spend their summers trying to growing out their hair while I decide to cut mine off. Anways, here's some pictures. What do you think?

To Cut, or Not to Cut?

Lately I've been thinking of making a change to my hair because of the new school year. Coloring is out of the question, since the last time I self-colored my hair, and it was damaged a little bit. My other thought was to get it cut. My hair isn't really that long as of now, but I think that if I cut it, it'll make a difference.

Stuntin` Is a Habit.

Agh, Friday was such a good day. The whole camp went to Fun Time America. It's basically an indoor mini-amusement park; it's kind of like Chuck-E-Cheese, but so much better. Instead of watching the kids like hawks as usual, us counselors were having fun as well. We played this extremely huge game of laser tag, and my team won by 6 points. It was ridiculous, we were all either running around and chasing eachother or hiding waiting to take a shot from the perfect spot. Then we went on a motion simulator that took place in the future in a high speed chase. So basically, we were flying everywhere and falling out of the seats because there were handles, but no seatbelts. It was so much fun though.

There were also bumper cars, a himalayas ride, and those typical basketball and racing games and things of that nature. It was just fantastic, haha. Also, they had this little booth selling tons of overpriced items to the kids. Included were those ridiculous pairs of Kanye West shutter shades. As impractical as they are I as well as half of the people there bought a pair. Mine are cute though, they're hot pink! Haha, one of my favorite colors besides purple.

Overall, it was just a fantastic day, and next week we're going into New York City to go to the Museum of Natural History. I have a feeling that'll be a mess. There's over 200 kids in the camp, and I'm really not sure how we're gonna control all of them in a place like a museum. Hopefully it'll turn out alright though.

Oh wait, my brother finally fixed the webcam on our computer so now I can photobooth whenever I want! And yes I did take quite a few pictures on it today. It's one of my favorite passtimes. Yes, I know I'm a little bit of a loser for that.

Target Time!

So after toying with my camera for pretty much all of Saturday, I made it work decently. Miraculously, the greying subsided so I can see what I'm taking pictures of and it just works a whole lot better. Anways, on Sunday I convinced my mother to take me to Target so I could attempt to start back to school shopping and find some cheap school supplies. Thankfully, my trip was successful; I was able to find some school supplies, a couple locker accessories, and most important of all, clothes!

As you can see, I'm pretty much in love with Spiderman. He's my favorite super hero, he always has been. Hmm, as of now I just feel ridiculously excited, I have new school supplies, new clothes, and a (mostly) working camera. Life is certainly sweet at the moment.

Money In The Bank.

I received my first paycheck on Monday! It was only $225 but hey, money is money. I took out a little less than half ($100) and went shopping with one of my best friends, Jasmin yesterday. There were so many things that I was pining over, but I kept it to the bare essentials; jeans, a purse, and a wallet. They're all amazing!

Sadly though, I can't take any pictures because I broke my camera. Long story short, I had a pretty crazy incident with exploding applesauce. Dayum. I guess I could buy one with my next paycheck? Hopefully.

Well tata for now, I have to get ready for my mom's best friend's birthday party tonight. Peace.
